I did not make any calls during the holidays because most church offices are closed. The break from calling was most welcome. But this past Thursday and Friday brought the resumption of calling churches. None of Thursday’s calls resulted in meetings, but on Friday the Lord blessed us with two newly scheduled meetings—one in Kansas and one in Ohio.
This week promises to be quite full, bringing pre-field ministry into full swing. With the normal calling of churches, a conference call with our mission’s European missionaries (discussing the book Passing the Baton, by Tom A. Steffen), three meetings with pastors (all of which are in different cities), and the Ohio Bible Fellowship Conference, we are praising God for providing so many opportunities to serve Him and to share with others how He is leading us, but we are also imploring Him for the time and energy to accomplish all that He has laid before us.
