Laurel and I enjoyed spending this past Sunday with Calvary Church in Sebring, FL. The people seemed refreshingly interested in the ministry in Romania. After presenting the ministry in the morning service, we started Sunday school with a question and answer time. When the half hour class ended, the people seemed to want to ask more questions.
During the afternoon, we took a walk in a nearby park. Laurel caught a little frog and we anxiously looked for alligators. But halfway through our second walking trail, we met not with an alligator but instead with a rainstorm. We scurried back to the car, trying in vain to shield ourselves from the rain with an umbrella.
The two of us arrived at the Pastor’s house, soaking wet. In spite of futile efforts at drying off, twenty minutes later we were at church still much wetter than we wanted to be. We enjoyed the evening activities anyway. Everyone else was damp too; no one seemed to mind.
